What Are Icebugs?

BUGrip is the name of Icebug’s traction technology for the most slippery conditions.  A BUGrip sole is made of a special rubber compound with 23% natural rubber with 14-19 integrated carbide steel studs making them extremely durable. The design of the studs with the properties of the rubber compound give these studs dynamic function. The studs work independently from each other and are not completely fixed. When weight is applied the studs push in towards the sole.  How far they push in depends on the pressure exerted by the user and resistance from the ground.  This dynamic function makes the studs adapt to the surface & provide the best possible traction on anything from dry asphalt to pure ice. The studs will give you confidence on ice but walk completely civilized on pavement and other surfaces.

Ivalo3 BUGrip® is one of the all-time Icebug best-sellers. The convenience of a slip-on, this light winter boot has reliable traction with dynamic BUGrip studs. The water repellent upper is made of suede leather and recycled Ripstop Polyester for years of wear.  A stable boot with forefoot rockering & wide ergonomic fit. Recent updates to the Ivalo3 include a weather resistant 8 mm front zipper and 3M reflective areas easy on/off wear and increased visibility. Grove Rewool with Michelin BUGdri

This elegant women’s winter boot has a non-studded Michelin outsole & BUGdri membrane to keep your feet dry. The upper is made of nubuck leather and wool that insulates and repels water. Inside, a soft fleece lining and insock made from recycled wool & Bloom algae foam insulate well. The wide last is comfortable for walking and easy on off with a long medial zipper. The Grove features a non-studded rubber outsole with Michelin Winter Compound that is safe for sensitive floors like restaurants and shops. Traditional rubber will harden & get stiff when temperatures drop. However, these Michelin Technical Soles feature winter adapted rubber to maintain pliancy.
