Gillespie Shoes had been the longest running shoe store in the state of Minnesota when Mel and Estelle Peterson purchased it in 1938 and changed the name to Peterson Shoes. It is currently owned by the Peterson’s daughter, Sandra Purtle, who has been happily fitting shoes for over 50 years. Our rich history has carried through to the present with the third generation of Petersons fitting shoes today!
